Dear Ashraf, Good to know that you really want system to improve and use latest technology for communication. There are many like you in Govt. departments how actually use emails to communicate, but yes to have this change all over, will take time. I think there is no problem with Government. IKM developed more than a dozen of software for local self bodies including panchayath. majority are not ready to adopt the changes. I am very proud of the people like Ashraf. they have to do a lot to change this culture!!! I think Kerala state is addressing e-governance in a systematic manner and already put excellent pace in place. There can be resistance towards change, in some segments but over a period of time, people will realise the benefits of e-gov and definitely all will support the same. The success/progress of project SPARK is amazing. 100% literacy, availability of telecom infrastructure and of course the attitude of citizens, employees and policy makers are the major catalysts, it seems |
